How cows communicate

“When cows are allowed the freedom and the space to express themselves, they begin to play again. When they play they become vocal.”

This observation by Happy Cow Farmer Chris was backed up by veterinary researcher Alexandra Green, who has been recording cow vocalisations to learn more about their emotions.

Don’t miss this recording for Chris’s impersonation of a happy cow and a discussion about whether or not microphones in paddocks could be a way to monitor cows happiness in the future.
